Chemists california emissions at Emory University have developed the most potent homogeneous catalyst known, that for the oxidation of water being considered california emissions an essential component for generating hydrogen fuel from water using only sunlight. The research team says that to be a viable option, the water oxidation catalyst (WOC) must have selectivity, stability and speed.
New research aims to mimic natural processes as photosynthesis to generate clean fuel, with the long term goal of generating hydrogen from water using only sunlight. The hydrogen becomes the fuel burns with the byproduct water, flowing back into the clean and renewable cycle.
The three major technical challenges involved in the process are the development of a light collector, a catalyst to oxidize water to oxygen california emissions and a catalyst to reduce water to hydrogen. The research team has doubled the complex natural process of photosynthesis using the synthetic, carbon-free, homogeneous system with a cobalt-based WOC.
