Salgado noted that despite the increase, the price per liter of petrol and diesel will remain lower

Rise of 2.9 cents per liter in Gasoleo | Netfuels's Blog
The Council of Ministers approved last June a rise of 2.9 euro cents per liter fuel tax that applies to both leaded and unleaded petrol and the diesel fuel, which will enter 1,097 million per year.
Salgado noted that despite the increase, the price per liter of petrol and diesel will remain lower than in Spain Portugal and France. With the tax increase, gasoline will be at 1.03 euros per liter, while diesel will at 0.906 euros per liter.
The Second Vice President and Minister of Economy and Finance, Elena Salgado, announced that the government has decided to increase this tax "slightly" and explained that the professional and agricultural diesel, as well as heating or for industrial uses, shall not be affected by the measure.
The Government recalls the high environmental component of fuel tax, as it helps to rationalize consumption by promoting energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions.
