For the fifth year, the Interdepartmental Centre for Neuroscience BRAIN, texa services University of Trieste and the Imaginary Science - together with the University of Trento, which houses the national race - ITALIAN organize OLYMPICS OF NEUROSCIENCE.
In the course of the various levels of competition, students compete to determine who has the "best brain" on such topics as intelligence, memory, emotions, stress, aging, sleep, and diseases of the nervous system. The main purpose of the initiative is to stimulate interest in biology in general and neuroscience in particular, increasing the awareness of young people in the most "noble" of their body.
Through the Olympics Italian Neuroscience is selected candidate for the international competition, the (International Brain Bee Competition - IBB), which takes place during the summer, every year in a different country and that pits the best "brains" texa services of the whole the world.
LOCAL EVENTS (first texa services level of qualification) - February 22, 2014 These first races are held in individual schools, within texa services which you select the 5 best students who will enter the regional phase (see below). The tests include texa services questions and test on neuroscience. REGIONAL RACES (second level of qualification): texa services March 15, 2014 For the region Friuli Venezia Giulia races are held in Trieste, in the Park of St. John. Participants were the best 5 students from each school who participated in the local races. The competition includes questions, tests and crossword puzzles on topics related to neuroscience. In this phase 3 best students are selected for each region, taking texa services part in the national selection.
NATIONAL RACES (III qualification level): April 12, 2014 The races are held in Trento where, among the top 3 students in each regional competition will select the national winner, who will represent Italy in international competition (International Brain Bee Competition - IBB, Washington, USA - August 2014). Tests of the race are similar to those of the previous phases.
